My favorite way is hand down apple crisp. DH's family has an apple orchard in upstate NY. My MIL goes to visit around this time and we get 2 big bags of apples when she gets home. We eat them out of hand so fast I hardly cook with them. I've made apple butter in the past, which is very good. Apple pie, apple sauce. ************************************** See what's new at http://www.aol.com

Guest guest
Hi, I am the day care provider for my 13 month old grandson, Justin. He is cutting a lot of teeth all at once. He doesn't seem to care for cold teething rings, or even a frozen wet washcloth. What he really loves to chew on is a fresh cold apple. I just wash the thing, then take a bite out of it myself. And then I hand it to him. He will carry it around for an hour or more, chewing on it. Every once in a while, we will hear him making contented sounds. If he would talk, it would be " Yummy!! " . He absolutely loves apples. Karla Williams
