It inspired me to check out the recipe files to see what other lentil spreads are out there. I am not much for curry and am tired of chili powder so I am vowing to make a different sandwich spread using lentils. I will put my brain on fast track and see what I come up with. ) Once its completed, or not, I will post results. Thanks again. Guest guest Posted September 28, 2007 Report Share Posted September 28, 2007 Indian Lentil Sandwich Spread 1 cup cooked lentils 4 garlic cloves, pressed 2 tsps. ground coriander 1 tsp. ground cumin 1/2 tsp. ground turmeric 1/2 tsp. chili powder 1/2 tsp. ground ginger Combine all of the ingredients in a small sacuepan. Cook gently over low heat, stirring occasionally, for 5 minutes, to allow the flavors to blend.
