Anticipation

We'll have the day off for Christmas. I usually like to make a big deal for Christmas. I don't like the commercial aspect of it and I used to have most of my Christmas shopping done in the summer. I like the family aspect of it though. We try to do a lot of arts and crafts, cooking, sharing secrets and hiding them, that sort of stuff. I'm really looking forward to this Christmas, as the last one was such a bummer for everyone. I felt like such sh*t and so absolutely nothing happened. It was awful!

I'm feeling so much better than last year, how amazing getting oxygen makes such a difference! Anyhow, the kids birthdays are later this month and then 2 weeks after that and I've been getting ready. My DH has been having a heart attack, even though I haven't spent very much. I told him that's from a guy who got ticked off that I bought a couple of pairs of pants (that ended up being too large) and would prefer I run around nekked catching the death of cold, so I didn't have to buy any clothes in my now smaller size. (giggle) It's been great sneaking around with one kid behind the other kids back! I found a really nice mountain bike for $70 for DS. We needed to hide it over to my DD old house, but we couldn't do it that evening. So he walked in the garage and the bike was in the back of my truck, he walked by without even noticing it! Then we got a comforter for my daughter we had to do a simular sneaking thing.

The person being giggled at knows that they are and it heightens the anticipation. That's what this season is to me, anticipation. I know the day will be nice, but it will be gone too quickly, it's the time leading up to it that is so fun!

Hi JoSounds yummy to me! I'm not sure if we will do anything for X-mas here, I don't believe we did last year. But when we have meetings that involve lunch it is usually pizza. So I run downstairs to the cafe for a salad if we are meeting in our DC.BBNikki :) , "jo" <jo.heartwork@g...> wrote:>> Has anyone's firm made plans for Christmas lunch yet? Ours is all finalised now. I eventually mananged to find out what I would be served - pine nut salad, butternut squash stirfry and vegan chocolate cake with a fruit sauce. Could be better - but could be worse too. At least they have made an effort.> > Jo>Jonnie
