Now this grain needs to be rinsed several times in a

mesh strainer or it will have a bitter taste. it's a

harmless coating to protect the grain from insects and

birds.

Quinoa (rice cooker)

1 cup quinoa rinsed

2 cups broth

little olive oil

add some dried herbs if you like

salt to taste when done.

Add all to cooker and let cook.

You can toast the quinoa in a dry hot iron skillet

first and it will take on a nutty flavor and then

place in cooker with oil, herbs and water.

Well, Ive got to run to keep from hiding,

And I'm bound to keep on riding.

And I've got one more silver dollar,

But Im not gonna let them catch me, no,

Not gonna let em catch the midnight rider.

I have 3 and the one I use is a 10 cupm. The plastic Black and Decker works too

not sure of the cup size. I have a little small one I keep at work it makes

only two full cups of rice and it too small for most recipes.

Hi,

What kind of rice cooker are you using?

Mine steams the rice and the dish is too small to be mixing stuff into the

rice.
