Cooked Cabbage dishes - HELP!

I've been making a casserole out of cabbage once a week. I fry down the cabbage

a little, add some of the crumble vegan " hamburger " , and layer it in a casserole

with vegan cheese (two packages), and plenty of cracked black pepper. Sometimes

I put other veggies in it. Like asparagus, mixed veggies. So far its been

working out well for me, as the thing I miss most is casseroles, usually made

with a ton of very artery clogging cheese. This tastes great (to me) and

satisfies that need (desire) Tonight I'm going to try it with red cabbage..

My favorite way to have cabbage is to cut it into slices, steam it

until it begins to be translucent, then spritz some balsamic or red

wine vinegar on top, sprinkle on some nutritional yeast (or parmesan,

if you are so inclined) and fresh cracked black pepper, then enjoy. I

have been known to have that for breakfast on occasion...

I also used simple shredded steamed cabbage in place of noodles or

rice to serve under a stir-fry.
