Guest guest
The fact you have over a month to do some research helps. I suggest looking in vegetarian magazines website, going to Houston camber of commerce web site. I went to yellow pages and did a search for vegetarian restaurants and came up with these restaurants: *Hometown Vegetarian Cafe<http://yp./py/ypMap.py?Pyt=Typ & tuid=29760479 & ck=2381145807 & tab=B2C\ & tcat=8903827 & city=Houston & state=TX & uzip=77002 & country=us & msa=3360 & cs=4 & ed=6YozR\ q1o2TxUGPSRXiiVCqEN.VOoBqrNoYVFM2KmndGf & stat=:pos:0:regular:regT:4:fbT:2> * *(713) 777-1988* See reviews on Local<http://us.rd./yp/ysearch/write/*-http://local./details?i\ d=19018370 & fr=ypsrp> 9888 Bellaire Blvd # 106 *Houston, TX* Map<http://maps./py/maps2.py?Pyt=Typ & name=Hometown+Vegetarian+Cafe & desc\ =(713)+777-1988 & addr=9888+Bellaire+Blvd+%23+106 & csz=Houston+TX> *Quan Yin Vegetarian Restaurant<http://yp./py/ypMap.py?Pyt=Typ & tuid=7973108 & ck=1702386114 & ta\ b=B2C & tcat=8903827 & city=Houston & state=TX & uzip=77002 & country=us & msa=3360 & cs=4 & ed=\ 6YozRq1o2TxUGPSRXiiVCqEN.VOoBqrNoYVFM2KmndGf & stat=:pos:1:regular:regT:4:fbT:2> * *(281) 498-7890* See reviews on Local<http://us.rd./yp/ysearch/write/*-http://local./details?i\ d=19075260 & fr=ypsrp> 10804 Bellaire Blvd # E *Houston, TX* Map<http://maps./py/maps2.py?Pyt=Typ & name=Quan+Yin+Vegetarian+Restauran\ t & desc=(281)+498-7890 & addr=10804+Bellaire+Blvd+%23+E & csz=Houston+TX> *Raw Truth Vegetarian Cafe<http://yp./py/ypMap.py?Pyt=Typ & tuid=24204737 & ck=2766623754 & tab=B2C\ & tcat=8903827 & city=Houston & state=TX & uzip=77002 & country=us & msa=3360 & cs=4 & ed=6YozR\ q1o2TxUGPSRXiiVCqEN.VOoBqrNoYVFM2KmndGf & stat=:pos:2:regular:regT:4:fbT:2> * *(713) 523-9755* See reviews on Local<http://us.rd./yp/ysearch/write/*-http://local./details?i\ d=18979474 & fr=ypsrp> 3815 Live Oak St *Houston, TX* Map<http://maps./py/maps2.py?Pyt=Typ & name=Raw+Truth+Vegetarian+Cafe & des\ c=(713)+523-9755 & addr=3815+Live+Oak+St & csz=Houston+TX> Also I found a listing for the vegetarian society of Houston: http://www.vshouston.org/ Write or call them and see what they can recommend, as well as check out the link on their page that has a list of restaurants. I will be staying in a hotel and attending a conference so have no time to travel away from the hotel and conference centre to research vegetarian restaurants. I am travelling with a group of omnivores When I was there 2 years ago, I had a dreadful time finding decent vegetarian food. One meal was advertised as a roasted veggie wrap with cheese. It was actually oily fried peas and carrots, probably left over from the dinner menu, on a bun with not a shred of cheese. It was late, I was starving so I ate it. Yuck. I'm wondering what kinds of things I could pack in my suitcase to make sure I have something to eat if the hotel isn't serving anything edible. I don't think we have that aerosol cheese here in Canada but I will have a look. I would appreciate help. Thanks Audrey *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ " Any change, any loss, does not make us victims.
