Guest guest
Grilled Figs with Goat Cheese & Peppered Honey 10 fresh figs about 1/4 lb goat cheese enough honey to drizzle them pinch of fresh ground black pepper Let the goat cheese come to room temp. Gently warm the honey and pepper together. Slice the hard stems off the figs. With a pastry bag & plain tip, fill each fig with goat cheese. If you insert the tip into the stem end about halfway and then squeeze gently as you withdraw the tip it works great. Go slow, the figs will plump up with the cheese. Place figs upright on a strip of tinfoil wide enough to wrap around them. Drizzle with the honey. Close foil. Place on grill for 8 minutes, until figs are soft and warm. Serve warm. Serves 2.
