Guest guest
I love squash, but have resorted to simply baking then mashing the winter squash (mostly butternet) because I have a heck of a time getting through the peel/core. I read recipes all the time that call for cubed squash. Who knows secrets I don't? Heather ______________________________\ ____ Fussy? Opinionated? Impossible to please? Perfect. Guest guest
Most hard squash are much easier to peal after them are cooked. You can easily cut away the peal of a pumpkin and big squash. Just take your spoon and scoop out the insides of smaller squash and cut them into cubes. Guest guest
butternut i think is the one fairly easy to peel. the tan smooth one w/the long neck sort of. and you can buy frozen cubed winter squash. acorn & buttercup i just halve, seed & roast. often w/maple syrup in the hollowed middles. mmmmmmmmmmmm Heather Scholl <dracaenaz8 wrote: I love squash, but have resorted to simply baking then mashing the winter squash (mostly butternet) because I have a heck of a time getting through the peel/core.
