Recipe Repost - Delicious Vegetarian Burgers- JUDY

I'm so glad you enjoyed them. We had them tonight for dinner. LOL What a

coincidence. Had a nice tossed salad to enjoy with it....... I'll have to bake

the burgers next time.

 

 

Here is a repost of the recipe from the recipe files for those that may have

missed it. It is in the substitutes and then in the Not Cow folder. Then

click on Burgers.

 

Delicious Veggie Burgers

 

1 can Worthington Vegetarian Burger

1 cup. Italian Bread Crumbs,

1/2 c. yellow cornmeal

1/4 c. flour.

2 eggs

1 onion, chopped

1 c. Cheddar cheese(Optional)

 

Combine together with hands to crumble the Vegetarian Burger and thoroughly

mix. Drop by spoonfuls into a hot Frying pan that has small amount of

Canola Oil(just cover the bottom). Flatten burgers with the back of your

spoon. Fry on each side until crispy. Serve with Burger toppings on buns.Judy

I meant to tell you a few days ago. You know I have been looking for a good

burger recipe. I came across your Worthington burger recipe that I had

printed off. It was a keeper. Not soggy at all. And I didn't fry it, but

cooked it in the oven.

I use Worthington Vegetarian Burger http://www.amazon

ground HB m**t. I use Worthington FriChik http://www.amazon

com/Worthington-FriChik-12-5-Ounce-Cans-Pack/dp/B000BF3AJ2

in place of chicken in a recipe. I cut it up to the desired size.

Packaged or Canned Meals ?

 

 

Hi all! Is there anything we can put instead of meat in these packaged or

canned meals like Hamburger/Tuna/Chicken Helper, Manwich, etc? I mean would

thawed out frozen " meatless " patties (Boca burger) work?
