Guest guest
Hello from Australia, I'm a partial vegetarian with a lot of food allergies. I often have to compromise or experiment with recipes like a mad scientist, lol. I'm a 55 year old Christian Canadian, married to a wonderful Christian Aussie I met on the Internet. Currently, I am a lady of leisure due to breast cancer which I caught early. My hubby has shown me a lot of my new country, and I've got to say, Australia is unique in both its animals and lingo. I have two sons. Will Sauder is 29, who's an electrician married to a wonderful lady. They have a girl and boy and live in Alberta, Canada. Keegan Sauder, the younger is 26, and when he's not in Vancouver, BC, he's earning his bread and butter traveling the globe skateboarding; he's sponsored by six companies and is now in Moscow. Soon he'll be in Beijing and able to fly to New South Wales State to visit me. I live on the NSW/ Victoria border in Albury. I have an 18 year old stepson, Simon, who is studying carpentry, and an almost 10 year old step daughter named Sophie. I love soy cheese, but even the health food store brands have a couple of ingredients that I can't have. Does anyone have a recipe for making one's own soy cheese from scratch? Cheers, Barbara Pecze
Guest guest
G'day Barbara and welcome to the group. Have you had a look in the group's recipe files? Here is a link to the substitutions folder for not-dairy substitutions. http://tinyurl.com/2vay99 I haven't tried any of the not-cheese recipes but all the recipes posted in the files are TNT (tried and true) by the members who posted them. How wonderful that you met your husband over the internet. What an amazing world we live in when people on opposite sides of the globe can come together like this. Here's wishing that you heal well from the breast cancer and well done for catching it early. Christie in Edinburgh, Scotland >
Guest guest
Hi Christie, Thanks for the welcome, and I will be looking at all those files. I so miss my soy cheese, but there's casein in them and I'm allergic to all dairy products except eggs. Hope there's a homemade soy cheese recipe lurking around. Must rest, have been on the computer too long. Cheers, Barb ---- christie_0131 9/12/2007 7:31:36 AM Re: G'Day G'day Barbara and welcome to the group. Have you had a look in the group's recipe files?
