I'd think Kroger would be big enough to carry them. When I try to use carrots, they're always rather tough. Does anyone have an idea what I'm doing wrong? ------------------------- Sarah, you can find frozen snow peas if all else fails, but I recently bought snow peas in a Kroger store in North Georgia. As for the carrots, I use a potato peeler to shave/slice them and they cook up very nicely. I also use sliced water chestnuts, bamboo shoots, sliced green onions, celery, and sometimes edamame beans. Shell them first though. I have also added peeled, sliced zucchini for an extra touch. If you want, you can even add some of the baby corn cobs. The addition of a good stir fry sauce towards the end really puts the final touch on it. Place them over a bed of either white or brown rice.
