Guest guest
The 3 that I suggested in my recipe are all great. Vegelinks and Linketts are a milder flavor and my favorite, but Big Franks are good too. The Big Franks are more highly seasoned. They are a larger more plump vegetarian hot dog. They taste nothing like tofu. My husband says that the Big Franks taste more like the meat ones to him. Of course it is all a matter of taste preference, as with anything. Try them all. Get a can of each and do a taste test for your own preference. If you are wanting them to taste like the Morningstar Farms Corn " Dogs " then you would use the Linketts for this recipe. I like the Vegelinks for the Barbequed Hot Dog recipe I sent. I like that over rice. It makes a good deal of BBQ sauce that is good to have with the rice. For a sandwich spread, I prefer the Vegalinks. They mash better and have a wonderful taste. I mix it with mayo, some finely diced onion and celery. I tend to like the ones by Yves (Good Dogs) but wonder if there is something more authentic to real hot dogs. Sorry but i grew up on real dogs and want that taste. I guess if I had grown acustom to the tofu variety I'd not have this hunger. Thanks, Cam
