Guest guest Posted September 6, 2007 Report Share Posted September 6, 2007 BROCCOLI WITH LEMON SAUCE AND PECANS 2 tsps. cornstarch 1/2 cup broth 1/4 cup lemon juice 1 tbsp. sugar 1 tsp. grated lemon rind 1/4 tsp. pepper 1 bunch of broccoli 1/3 cup chopped pecans 1 tbsp. butter or margarine, melted Combine cornstarch, broth, and lemon juice in a small saucepan. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until thickened. Stir in sugar, lemon rind, and pepper. Trim off large leaves of broccoli. Remove tough ends of lower stalks, and wash broccoli thoroughly. Cook broccoli, covered, in small amount of boiling water 8 -10 minutes or until tender; drain and arrange on serving platter. Spoon sauce over broccoli.
