Jeanne, I feel your pain! We've lived in this house less than two years,

and this is the first year we've grown anything here, which of course

included catnip We kept trying to figure out why the catnip was doing

so poorly until one evening we saw a kitty munching on it and then

propped against the pot, blissfully sleeping it off, wearing a " this is

your brain on catnip " expression. Another time we found a neighbor's

cat sleeping _in_ the catnip pot. ) It's very entertaining and

somehow we've been lucky because the catnip is now growing well.
