Guest guest
Omaha. Am still learning my way around the city. We moved here from New Jersey. I really miss all the small stores that were everywhere that carried everything! You could get the best produce there! My local HY-vee carries a lot, including some organics. They also are carrying more and more gluten free products. It has been challenging thinking about going vegetarian when you are already limited in food choices. No substitute meats or TVP for me, they usually have gluten in them. I also go to Whole Foods about once a month. It is a bit of a drive but they have items that no one else carries. Also being in the midwest puts me smack in the middle of the beef/meat industry. Omaha IS the beef industry. You can still find plenty of vegetarian items but the local mindset is not very favorable to vegetarianism. Kandi
