Guest guest Posted September 4, 2007 Report Share Posted September 4, 2007 Best Of Shaker Cooking Apple Omelet 6 large tart apples 1 tbsp butter 1 cup sugar Cinnamon and other spices to taste, such as nutmeg and mace 4 eggs Pleel the apples. Cover with water and cook to a very soft mush. Beat out all the lumps. Add the butter, sugar, and spices to taste. Let the mixture cool. Beat the eggs, then add to the apple mixture. Bake at 300 F. in a shallow buttered baking dish or two pie tins for 15 to 20 minutes or until delicately brown. Yield: 4 servings *** I have yet to make this dish but plan to this coming weekend.
