Guest guest
It's Pinto Bean harvest time here in sunny Colorado. Pinto beans cooked all by themselves with nothing added are just plain delicious. They make their own 'gravy' and are great served over a piece of freshly baked corn bread. The next day if there's any left we re-fry them and make burritos. It's also chili roasting time and when you combine the two it makes for 'good eatin'. I too was raised to believe that beans were " poor folk's food " well now the people of the world know this is not true. Oh and that left over corn bread is just way too good with milk poured over it. It's called " comfort food " . Deanna in Colorado
