It's Pinto Bean harvest time here in sunny Colorado. Pinto beans cooked

all by themselves with nothing added are just plain delicious. They

make their own 'gravy' and are great served over a piece of freshly

baked corn bread. The next day if there's any left we re-fry them and

make burritos. It's also chili roasting time and when you combine the

two it makes for 'good eatin'.

I too was raised to believe that beans were " poor folk's food " well now

the people of the world know this is not true.

Oh and that left over corn bread is just way too good with milk poured

over it. It's called " comfort food " .
