Dumplings 1 cup flour 1 Tablespoon fresh Basil- finely chopped Sea salt and freshly ground pepper to taste 2 Tablespoons butter (softened but not melted) 1/4 - 1/2 cup water 2 cups veggie broth or soup Mix flour, Basil, salt and pepper. Cut in butter until consistancy of course corn meal .Do not over work dough Slowly add water to make a stiff dough Form Tablespoon size balls by hand and drop into boiling veggie broth Reduce heat and simmer for 20-30 minutes depending on altitude.
