Guest guest
I can count on my one how the few tghings I detest and that is one. The look of it, the scent and I remember my Mom telling me it has suet or something non-vegetarian in it. I always thought it looked like some voodoo potion cooked up in a steaming black pot.......LOL I don't like traditional fruitcake either. I make a good fruitcake with pineapple and macadamia nuts that is delicious but that 20 pound old fashioned fruitcake is awful to me. Guest guest
Most mincemeat over here in the UK is made with vegetarian suet these days. I quite like it - you're not supposed to eat vast amounts of it - just a tablespoonful in a small pastry tart or pie smaller than a cupcake. IMHO it's far too rich to eat more than that at one sitting. Christie , Donnalilacflower <thelilacflower wrote: > > I can count on my one how the few tghings I detest and > that is one.
