Guest guest
Char - you can get a similar (though sweeter) product at the liquor/wine store called grenadine. I think it is used in mixed drinks in the US. Following is a recipe for pomegranate molasses. Every country in the Middle East has their own version, some add spices, some add herbs. But to all, in is thick and syruppy. Take the trouble to boil it down, the consistancy is usally important to the end product. Good luck! Chupa @@@@@ Pomegranate Molasses 8 cups pomegranate juice 2 tablespoons sugar 1 tablespoon lemon juice In a saucepan, heat pomegranate juice, sugar, and lemon juice to a medium heat. Allow to cook for 45 minutes to 1 hour, until a thick molasses consistency. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a month.
