They were sweet enough but the taste of the vanilla & almond extract shone through & gave it a very good flavor. Since the recipe is copyright I can't share it but here's a link to their blog: http://vegancupcakes.wordpress.com/ I bought my book from Amazon along with the Simple Treats book. I keep forgetting to look for it at WalMart. I substituted rice milk for soy milk in the cupcake recipe since I had some left over from my pie,lol! My dh said they were good!
