Thank you for accepting me to your group. I would like to share one

of my favorite recipes. I see there are many wonderful recipes here

and I can not wait to try some. This is an original recipe. I have

adapted many to suit my vegetarian life style and will be happy to

share them from time to time.

Cheesy Vegetarian Macaroni Casserole

Ingredients:

· 1 pkg Yves Veggie Ground Round(or any brand of veggie ground round)

· 1/4 to 1/2 Spanish onion diced

· 1 tsp. olive oil

· 2 cloves of garlic, minced

· 1/4 tsp. of oregano

· 1/4 tsp. of basil

· Dash of Tabasco sauce or 1/4 tsp of cayenne pepper

· Dash of mixed herbs

· 1 cup of tomato sauce

· 2 1/2 to 3 cups of uncooked whole-wheat pasta

· Approx. 2 cups or more of orange cheddar cheese grated

Directions

Crumble Yves Ground Round in medium bowl with a fork. Set aside

Cook Macaroni according to package directions. Set aside

In a non-stick frying pan, sauté onion in olive oil

Add Yves Veggie Ground Round, add spices stirring until well mixed,

and cook until just warmed

In a greased 4 to 6 cup casserole baking dish, add 1/2 the Veggie

Ground Round mixture

Followed by 1/2 the tomato sauce, 1/2 the macaroni, topping it off

with 1/2 the grated cheese

Continue layering with the remaining Veggie Ground Round mixture,

tomato sauce, macaroni and grated cheese

Place casserole uncovered in a preheated 325-degree oven for approx.

18 minutes or until cheese is melted and bubbly.

This is very comforting on a cold winter day!!
