Guest guest
There wasn't anything called the United States before the ratification of the Constitution, therefore there couldn't be a president of the United States. There were various folks who were called various things including prez of the Constitutional Congress, the Continental Congress, the Constitutional Convention, amongst other things. And while all that was going on there was the Annapolis Conference, the Madison and Virginia Plan, the Sherman and Connecticut Compromise, the Paterson and New Jersey Plan, the Hamilton and British Plan. Guest guest
Oh Dear Lynda, I think you need to read up on your US history. The United States of America was officially named in 1781. There were 7 or 8 (depending on whether you include Samuel Huntingdon) presidents of the United States before the Consitution existed.
