Guest guest Posted October 18, 2005 Report Share Posted October 18, 2005 hi everyone, on saturday morning I go outside to throw out the garbage. before I do, I see an Opossum inside the garbage can. He/she was clearly alive and hissin. this one was an Adult size, we pick him/her up with a towel. we couldn't really tell what was wrong with him. but anyway, we put him a cat carrier and drive him to the pelican man's bird santuary nearby. http://www.pelicanman.org/ It is an animal hospital/santuary where they rescue mostly birds but other " wild " (not pets) animals that have been injured. i have a nack for finding animals, so they are getting to know me Well, the only thing wrong with him, they said was that he was mal-nourished. you see theres Woods in my neighborhood and they are preparing a road to be built to keep up with the increasing population. These big machines are tearing down trees. they said that he is doing fine, and is getting fat. But they will not realase him back in my neighborhood because their isn't enough food/shelter.
