i rescued a baby squirrel many many years ago...was walkin down the street one

day, and walked past a poor lil squirrel who apparently had lost a fight with a

motor vehichle

then right next to her, up on a tree, hung two tiny itty bittylittle baby

squirrels

that was mom on the pavement

 

one sadly died within the week

but corky grew t o be a little rambunctious menace by that fall.....

We loved Nemo. The named the little squirrel we rescued " Little Dude. "

When I get the film developed, I'll send a picture of him sitting in the

youngest kidlet's lap.

 

He was hit by a car and didn't make it but we tried and he was comfy for

those last few days.

 

Sometimes I hate doing rescues!

My only close contact with a squirrell was on the less pleasant end.... it

bit my finger!!! I was worried for a while that it might have been a

were-squirrell, but I've had no long term effects... except for the desire

for eating peanuts at the full moon :-)

corky turned into a terror..at least fer everyone else...

he got really attached to me...(not in a bitey way)

but he bit the livin heck out of my dad and my neighbors....
