Guest guest
actually..there are many antecidents to all of those..they were just popularized in the US peanut butter is thousands of years old.... it just got marketed in the US there were several folks in europe who got the basic theory of TV down in the early 20th century..before farnworth and the russian fellow at westinghouse *invented* tv... as for cars..heck..there are prolly a thousand people who can claim that one in 1769 an inventor in the french military built a self propelled steam engine..basically a three wheeled car..they used it to move artillery.. tho..it wasn't very good a whole slew of europenas then built a variety of self propelled steam vehicles over the next few years oh..and the frenchman was also the first official " auto accident " victim, when he drove a steam powered *tricycle* into a wall... in the 1830's a scotsman invented the first electric car the internal combustion engine was invented in europe(actually in like 1680...but didn't get worked on until the 1800's) in 1880 something, the german inventor Benz got the patent for the first gas fuled auto... the first car manufacturers were french...something like panhard and levvessor(something like that)...quickly followed by puegeot the first mass produced auto in america was by Olds..1901 i think...
