Guest guest
Some happiness here... The mayor of Galveston, Texas, " gets " it... As Hurricane Rita approaches the Gulf of Mexico heading for the Texas Gulf Area (possibly), she said that she wanted to eliminate problems with evacuation that had happened in the Gulf States... Owners could take their pets with them to the shelters. A ray of sunshine in an otherwise dismal situation. Cynthia
Guest guest
She is already rounding up buses but she did say they could take crated/caged animals. If you don't have a crate or cage then they wouldn't be allowed. The last I heard the animal rescue groups were rounding up crates for folks to use if they didn't have one. If you don't have one, contact your local shelter. They should be able to direct you to a group that can help find one.
