Hi lynda,

these are good questions and I really don't know.

To be honest, I haven't seen a news coverage with PETA.

I know that the humane society has been doing a lot of work. It would be interestign to find out

what peta's role was in all this.

Re: FW: Urgent from PETA: Ask the Government to Allow PETA to Testify at Katrina Hearings;

Did PETA have crews out there rescuing animals? None of the rescue groups I work with saw anyone from PETA. We've all been arranging transport to all 50 states and haven't heard anything from PETA.

If they weren't actually out there in the trenches actively doing rescues, providing shelters, helping to set up foster homes, providing vet services, providing food, etc. then they don't have any business asking to testify.

Lynda, who has been working with several groups who are actually doing rescues.
