Guest guest
Sign This Petition to President Bush and Pass it On Urgent: Sign This Petition to President Bush and Pass it On As rescue crews deal with Hurricane Katrina's deadly wake, animals on the Gulf Coast and beyond need your help now more than ever. In addition to the human misery that the storm left behind, it left many thousands of animals dead and dying. But the greater problem has turned out to be state and federal governments adding to this toll-and causing the slow and agonizing deaths of many thousands of much-loved dogs, cats, and other animals-through their failure to allow animals to be rescued. Thousands of animals perished following Hurricane Katrina because animal protection agents were forced to sit idly by, waiting for permission from authorities to enter flooded areas. We must learn from this failure and work to ensure that such horrors never recur. Please sign our petition asking President Bush to see to it that animals are protected in future disasters, and tell your friends to do the same. We'll give you 1,000 Street Team points for signing and an additional 500 for forwarding the alert to at least three friends. Thank you for all you do for animals. We appreciate your dedication and hard work.
