There are something like five colleges in this town and it took me an

hour to find a place where I could get a cold beer! You'd think

there'd be bars all over the place!

 

And while I knew rent would be high here, I didn't realize it would be

so hard to find anyplace to live. I called 11 different places today

and only one has a place available right now and it's in Waterbury,

which I just determined is about a 40 minute drive from my school. I

only have one class on campus (the rest are on-line classes) and it

only meets once a week, but my department head talked with me today

about getting me a job as a graduate assistant, so I may be on campus

a lot.

connecticut is still a blue law state...

liquor stores(called package stores) close at 8..and no sales on sunday

at least, thats the way it use to be

 

waterbury is pretty far, and they use to call it murderbury..i'd look elsewhere
