Hi, my name is Nelleke, I am new here and thought I'd introduce myself

quickly.

 

Well, quickly ;-) I am working on my Master thesis, so I love things

to do that are *sooo* (not) important, so I won't have to work at it.

Quickly still though, because if my hubbie love finds out I'm back at

doing nothing..

 

So that's interesting introduction so far - let's make it a bit more

formal. Like I said, my name is Nelleke - it's a Dutch name, which is

also where I'm from. I study law, almost done (see above) and I will

be moving to Italy in September, also for study. I've studied in

Berkeley, USA as well, a few years back. Oh and actually, thís time WE

are going to Venice, not just me ;-)

 

I am 25 years old, married to the absolute best guy in the world, who

has actually been vegan for the past three (four? we're not sure

anymore) years. Before that he was vegetarian, and he's been of the

meat-eating path for some 15 years. I've only been eating vegetarian

for the past few years. Living in California was a blast though - mjum

on veggie foods there! We hope things'll be ok in Venice, but

apparently there is a whole island (!) dedicated to 'green' gardening

- hardly anyone living there, just crops and a market. So that sounds

good.

 

I am actually not too sure whether I will go vegan. This is partly

because of cheese (ever tried Dutch cheese - well hell you should)(oh

wait, this is vegan alley, well there you go - sorry guys ;-)

BTW-hubbie is not into cheese at all, so I always tell him that's why

it was sóó easy for him to go vegan). Of course that's not the whole

case, because I know (yes I knóów) that if you want, then you can,

then you just do it. I guess we should blame the mentality too, but as

we say here: he does the animal rights, I work on human rights.

 

Now that's me, I am just always looking for more info, so decided to

join you guys and hope you'll teach me some valuables. Whenever we

have anything here, we'll let you know.

 

And if you know anything about veganism and Italy of veganism and

Venice (in particular) we are more than happy to hear of it!
