Guest guest
this is a cross post for information and action only all the best Craig HUGE BLOW to the global vivisection industry! Air Mauritius falls! Pressure on BAA plc continues. There was fantastic news in the Guardian this weekend when it was confirmed that Air Mauritius no longer carry primates for vivisection. This is a great victory for the Gateway to Hell campaign and shows that no one is beyond our reach. This wonderful achievement damages greatly the international trade and will directly save animals from the vivisection labs. We can feel proud that we have achieved through our protests where talking so often fails. There are more targets to defeat before we can finally put an end to the sickening international trade, but this week we can reassure ourselves in all honesty that the end is in sight. It also emerged that British Airways has tightened their stance on carrying laboratory animals, specifically stating in its operations manual that they are not to be carried at all. So congratulations must go out to them, as well as to Virgin Airways and BMI who also state that they do not carry lab animals. These are fundamental victories for everyone campaigning against vivisection. No animals means no sickening and vile experiments, such as those carried out by the colleagues of Colin Blakemore who removed the eyes of monkey foetuses and then experimented on them once they were born. Even mentioning such experiments makes us sick to the core and that is before we even go into the details. But this is why we are so determined that no animal will ever fly from paradise to a life of hell. So congratulations to everyone for persuading Air Mauritius to see sense, and take heart that we are winning. But let'??s not forget the fact that only a few weeks ago we learned that 50 primates passed through Heathrow airport destined to spend the rest of their life being tortured. Heathrow is owned by BAA plc who have the power to say no, despite what they say in their letters. The demand is simple - no more lab animals to be flown through their airports. Please send polite emails, faxes, letters and phone calls to the people below. They are the top people at BAA and have the power to make a difference to the animals. The directors we have sent out before, but many new mangers are now included, so please keep the pressure on. Let them know about the sickening conditions the animals are captured and held in before being flowing into BAA's airports and ask them to follow in the footsteps of Air Mauritius, BA and the rest.PS dont forget BAA has a Freephone number: 0800 692 2004.To to the Gateway to Hell action alert list, send us an email on contactHead OfficeBAA plc130 Wilton Road, London SW1V 1LQUnited KingdomTel: 020 7834 9449, Fax: 020 7932 6699Email: investor_enquiries, company_secretary,baaproperty, dns_admin, noise_line,info, investor_relations, BAA HeathrowHeathrow Point West234 Bath Road, Hayes, Middlesex UB3 5APFreephone: 0800 692 2004Tel: 0870 0000 123, Fax: 020 8745 4290Emails: lhr1feedback, lhr2feedback,lhr3feedback, lhr4feedback, heathrowblight, heathrownoise, t5recruit, heathrowenvironment, noise_complaints, heathrowpressoffice, hex_feedback, int-airrailDIRECTORS OF BAA PLCAndrew Flower, Managing Director, Aberdeen AirportEmail: andy_flower; Mob: 07711 152 819Brian Collie, Group Retail Director, BAA plc, Chairman World Duty Free plcTel: 020 7932 6655; Email: brian_collieDavid Cumming, Managing Director, Southampton International AirportEmail: david_cumming; Tel: 02380 627 169Donal Dowds, Divisional Managing Director, Scotland and USAEmail: donal_dowdsJanis Kong OBE, Chairman, Heathrow AirportEmail: janis_kongMarcus (Paul Ambrose) Agius, Non-Executive Chairman, BAA plcEmail: marcus.agiusChairman of Lazard, London and Deputy Chairman of Lazard LLC.1) Lazard Asset Management Ltd, 50 Berkeley Street, London, W1J 8HATel: 020 7588 2721; Fax: 020 7499 1610; www.lazard.co.uk2) Lazard & Co, 50 Stratton Street, London, W1J 8LLTel: 020 7187 2000; Fax: 020 7187 6000Margaret Ewing, Group Finance Director, BAA plcEmail: margaret_ewingMark Clare, Non-Executive Director, BAA plc; Deputy CEO of CentricaEmail: mark.clareCentrica PLC, Millstream, Maidenhead Road, Windsor, Berkshire, SL45GD; Tel: 01753 494 000; Fax: 01753 494 001; Web: www.centrica.co.ukMick Temple, Managing Director, Heathrow AirportTel: 020 8745 7033; Email: mick_templeMike Clasper CBE, Chief Executive, BAA plcEmail: mike_clasperMike Toms, Group Planning and Regulatory Affairs Director, BAA plcEmail: mike_tomsRichard Jeffrey, Managing Director, Edinburgh AirportEmail: richard_jeffreyRoger Cato, Chairman and Managing Director, Gatwick AirportEmail: roger_catoStephen Baxter, Managing Director, Glasgow AirportEmail: stephen_baxterTerry Morgan, Managing Director, Stansted AirportEmail: terry_morganTony Ward OBE, Group Services DirectorEmail: tony_ward; Tel: 020 8745 0756Other senior corporate staffStuart Condie, Planning & Surface Access DirectorTel: 01293 505 755; Email: stuart_condieHelen Nation, Communications DirectorTel: 07771 506004; Email helen_nationPaul Weber, International Retail DirectorTel: 01293 502 114; Email: paul_weberDuncan Tolson - Business Development Director, International RetailTel: 01293 503 762; Email: duncan_tolsonMark Riches, Managing Director, World Duty Free EuropeTel: 020 8745 2250; Email: mark_richesJohn Pizzamiglio, Head of media@BAA - john_pizzamiglio Chris Mankelow, Head of Cargo StrategyTel: 020 8745 4584; Fax: 020 8745 7237; Email: chris_mankelowCatherine Loveridge, head of catering and specialist shops â?? catherine_loveridgeClaire Williams, Head of Sustainability and Environment Strategy â??claire_williamsTony Douglas, Managing Director of T5 â?? tony_douglasJoe Hardman, Economic Development Manager â?? joe_hardmanAndrew Elliott, Senior Property Marketing ManagerTel: 020 8745 7931; Fax: 020 8745 7237; Email andrew_elliottAndrew Wolstenholme - T5 Construction Director â?? andrew_wolstenholme Sarah Kelley, Property Marketing ManagerTel: 01293 504 056; Fax: 01293 503 26; Email sarah_kelleyTim Lockwood, Director of Planning and Environment Tel: 01293 503008; Fax: 01293 505153; Email: tim_lockwoodSimon Edwards, Marketing ManagerTel: 01293 503 617; Email: simon_edwardsRalph Meloy, Community & Government Relations ManagerTel: 01279 663723; Fax: 01279 662971; Email: ralph_meloyList of all emails in this action alert for ease of cutting and pasting:investor_enquiries, company_secretary,baaproperty, dns_admin, noise_line,info, investor_relations, lhr1feedback, lhr2feedback, lhr3feedback, lhr4feedback, heathrowblight, heathrownoise, t5recruit, heathrowenvironment, noise_complaints, heathrowpressoffice, hex_feedback, int-airrail, andy_flower, brian_collie, _cumming, donal_dowds, janis_kong, marcus.agius, margaret_ewing, mark.clare, mick_temple, mike_clasper, mike_toms, richard_jeffrey, roger_cato, stephen_baxter, terry_morgan, tony_ward, stuart_condie, helen_nation, paul_weber, duncan_tolson,mark_riches, john_pizzamiglio , chris_mankelow, catherine_loveridge, claire_williams, tony_douglas, joe_hardman, andrew_elliott, andrew_wolstenholme, sarah_kelley, tim_lockwood, simon_edwards, ralph_meloyDisclaimer and InformationThis action alert is brought to you by the Gateway To Hell Campaign.
