I know what you mean. Cilantro has a very distinct flavor all of its own.

Not oniony at all, more the type of fresh flavor you get with parsley

but it tastes like chervil, not like parsley. I think it would

substitute for any recipe that called for fresh parsley. It is hard

to describe a flavor isn't? the best I could do is 'it tastes fresh

and delicate'
