Fancy Pants and poke David

You know I'm in L.A. and I have never seen or heard of

a perogi, I always wondered what that was in the song

" poke salad Annie " I thought it was a pork salad and

why in the world would you pick a pork salad. I still

have no idea what a poke is, I also thouht that it was

a hat or a fat cigar, it's some type of green you eat?
