Guest guest Posted August 8, 2007 Report Share Posted August 8, 2007 Hello, I'm new to cooking beans and lentils. I use them in chili, but I'm not sure how to just cook them, and what exactly to use. For example, I am making a shephard's pie tomorrow. Rather than use the traditional meat base, I want to make some type of lentil and/or bean seasoned mixture to replace the meat. We are vegetarian, however I usually use soy, tvp, tofu or veggie round. What type of beans or lentils would I use and how would I season and prepare them? Thanks in advance!
