Guest guest
Oh and another one that we love is the frozen roll of Worthington Prosage. I just thaw it out and slice it, shread it for dressings, or gravy. It has the best flavor to me and you can find it at the Adventist Book Center near you. www.adventistbookcenter.com Click on store locator on the side bar to find a location near you. It is worth the drive to one. You can stock up, because all their vegetarian meat substitutes are either frozen(take a cooler with you), canned or a dry product in jars or bags. Enjoy, Judy - BARBARA KIPPER Wednesday, August 08, 2007 1:41 PM Mom Cat and Sue Thanks/ Mock Sausage Thanks... Sue and Mom Cat I will try: Gimme Lean and Morningstar Sausage Patties. I am planning a meal for friends and family when we return to AZ after summer. I wanted to do a whole vegetarian meal without telling anyone that it is completely veggie. I know they will be fine with it even knowing it is vegetarian, but the idea of a really tasty meal without meat was something to try and pull together for the first time with them. They are all big on meat, so to do this with just a salad or veg. burger or a veggie pizza wouldn't cut it. I am thinking of a light wine spritzer and very veggie pizza as " starters, " [more vegs on it than cheese] in lieu of hors d'oeuvres. I want them to be satisfied with the mock sausage in a casserole, or quiche. [i have copied off several group site salads to think about. There are so many that everyone has contributed!] I will report back later in the fall with my plans and the outcome. Any suggestions for this " event, " will be great.
