Guest guest
Barbara, I love the Morningstar Farms Breakfast Links and Breakfast Strips. We bake them. Sometimes I fry an egg and make a Breakfast Sandwich with Veganaise, a Fried Egg, and either Baco's or Breakfast Strips on toasted Bread. I either use some English Toasting Bread(Wal-mart carries this in their bakery and it makes the best toast, grill cheese, and sandwiches. It is very crispy when toasted, which we love) or some Whole Wheat or 7 grain Bread. Did you see the Meat Substitute E-mail that I sent yesterday? I ordered some 3 kinds of Vegetarian Hot Dogs off of Amazon.com yesterday and it will be here on Aug. 13. Quick service to my door and great prices. I got the Worthington Vegalinks, Loma Linda Linketts and Loma Linda Big Franks. We like them all, but my favorite is the Vegalinks, but we enjoy having the variety of the other two as well. Yummmmmmm. Enjoy, Judy - BARBARA KIPPER Wednesday, August 08, 2007 1:41 PM Mom Cat and Sue Thanks/ Mock Sausage Thanks... Sue and Mom Cat I will try: Gimme Lean and Morningstar Sausage Patties. I am planning a meal for friends and family when we return to AZ after summer. I wanted to do a whole vegetarian meal without telling anyone that it is completely veggie. I know they will be fine with it even knowing it is vegetarian, but the idea of a really tasty meal without meat was something to try and pull together for the first time with them. They are all big on meat, so to do this with just a salad or veg. burger or a veggie pizza wouldn't cut it. I am thinking of a light wine spritzer and very veggie pizza as " starters, " [more vegs on it than cheese] in lieu of hors d'oeuvres. I want them to be satisfied with the mock sausage in a casserole, or quiche. [i have copied off several group site salads to think about. There are so many that everyone has contributed!] I will report back later in the fall with my plans and the outcome. Any suggestions for this " event, " will be great. Guest guest
I recommend the Morningstar Farms sausages (links or patties) and the " bacon " as well. My 16 month old granddaughter loves to have a " sausage " patty when she has breakfast here, and prefers it to the meat version. _____ On Behalf Of wwjd Wednesday, August 08, 2007 2:17 PM Re: Mock Sausage - Barbara Barbara, I love the Morningstar Farms Breakfast Links and Breakfast Strips.
