Maureen, declawed kitty's painful paw

That poor baby! Will he let you ice the paw? Maybe an ice cube in a shallow dish

to bat around, if it eases the pain he'll surely put his paw on it. if cold

doesn't help maybe one of those rice filled heat packs you warm in the microwave

would,( I'd test in on my own skin to be sure it's not to hot) don't know if

either will help but won't hurt to try and might help. I'd rather be in pain

myself than have one of my furbabies be in pain!!

for the kind words, Marilyn! He really is such a total sweetie,

which makes it harder not to get angry when it looks like his paw is

hurting. I couldn't agree more with you about it being an awfully harsh

thing to put an animal through. (I think I already said this, but he

was declawed years before I adopted him.) I think he knows I'm writing

about him. You should see the theatrics--Very cute!
