Sam,

That is funny. Cats have a way of meowing to make it plain and clear what they

want.

I also love the story of how your cat got it's name.

Maureen,

Glad that cat has now made you feel very welcome. LOL BTW your wreck sounds

terrible, but so glad you have been able to make positive uses of your

time and enjoy life. It was interesting to hear that at 65 folks can go to

college for free. I wonder how many folks realize this and take advantage of

it.

They may just want to have some free time to travel, garden, enjoy family and do

hobbies though, once they retire. We will all make a different path in our

retirement years, but keeping active is so important.

A freind e-mailed me yesterday. She was sitting on her deck reading and noticed

a bird in the grass near some landscaping. You have to read this to believe

it. Too funny " I saw a bird pecking at something, so I looked more closely and

it was chasing a snake out of its territory near the bamboo! The bird would peck

the snake's tail and the snake would slither a little, the bird would peck again

and the snake would slither a little more, the bird would peck the snake's tail

again and the snake would turn around and glare at the bird and the bird would

act all innocent! This went on until the snake was out of the bird's territory! "

Don't you find that hysterical. What a good laugh this scene she painted gave

me.

Sam-Re: location and gardens and dogs

LOL, Sam! That's priceless--Thank you :) And, by the way, I think

Sweetpea is an adorable name.

When I first moved in with my partner, one of her cats was less than

thrilled with my presence. Since I obviously was too dense to pick up

on the more subtle cues, she started pooping by my desk just often

enough that it was an effective booby trap :) Still, I suppose I should

be grateful that she never peed directly on me :))) By now, the former

pooper and I adore each other. In fact, I'm pretty sure she takes

credit for my moving in...

Peace,

Maureen
