What a sweet story! Thank you so much for the Fluff McGrump smiles :)

I used to sit for my neighbors' cat when they went away, and she did a

similar kind thing. She knew me and liked me most of the time, but she

really, really hated being left alone, so whenever I'd come over to feed

her, she'd greet me by simultaneously hissing, growling, and curling

herself around my leg in happy kitty glee. Freaked me out the first

couple of times since she was kinda formidable in that big, muscular

kitty way, then I just figured I'd have mixed feelings in her position

too. This went on over the course of several years, and it _always_

took her about 15 minutes to get past the

I-hate-you-I-love-you-I-hate-you thing. I just learned to enjoy it

since she was such a great cat. Ya just gotta love 'em, huh?

Peace,

Maureen

and loveable, but one of my cats that was a wild cat until SPCA resuced it,

makes all kinds of growls and hissing sounds, but lets you hold her while she

does it. I think it just got to be such a habit to make those sounds that she

still makes them. We know she is just a grumpy sweet and funny cat though.

She had been returned 2 times because of her growls, but I knew she was all

bark, but no bite, except for when she gets really desperate to get outside.

LOL Her name is Fluffy, but we call her Fluff McGrump most of the time. Love

that crazy cat and all our other babies too.

One of my kitties (I don't have her anymore, her name was Sweetpea) would

get really mad if we went away for a day or two. It was really more about

not being allowed outside while we were gone not from loneliness. But she

would get really mad and sulk and ignore us for at least the number of days

we had been gone. And normally she was a great talker.

One other time she wanted out at night, we were living out in the country

and didn't want her out at night. My ex told her no, she kept meowing and he

kept telling her no. She walked over, lifted her tail and pee'd on his shoe.

Had to grab my cat and run!

Now that is a funny story. I enjoyed it. They miss us and we miss them

when we are gone, no doubt about it.

I'm glad you got used to this cat and fed her so your neighbors could get

away. What a blessing it is when our cats and dogs can stay in their home

environment instead of a kennel when we are out of town.
