I also buy herbs fresh and use dried blends from Penzey's. I've got rosemary, basil, oregano, and thyme going in my yard. Lavender too but I haven't cooked with it. I do love the Penzey's stuff my mom bought for DH last year (Mr. Hard To Buy For) and she also got him a pepper grinder, which is the best we've ever had (this is #4 and we'll get the same when it needs to be replaced). Thanks to Donna for turning us on to Penzey's! Here's another question, what pepper corn mixtures does everyone like? DH loves just plain black, but I like the mix, and I use white pepper a lot, though I don't have a grinder dedicated to the corns yet (DH threw out one,,,grrrrr) Amy ************************************** Get a sneak peek of the all-new AOL at http://discover.aol.com/memed/aolcom30tour

Guest guest
I am growing Basil, Lemon Basil, Sage, Oregano and Cilantro. I havn't used them yet, they are just getting big enough for occasional use. My cilantro is not doing well at all. It is tall and skinny with small spindly leaves...and it is now flowering I'll just let it go to seed and harvest them to use later as coriander. Here is a helpful guide for growing/using herbs: http://culinaryherbguide.com/index.html April
