Vegan Livin' Made Easy) ½ cup flour 1/3 cup sugar ¾ tsp baking powder ¼ tsp salt ¼ tsp ground cinnamon 1/8 tsp ground cloves ¼ cup " milk " ½ tsp vanilla extract 2 medium Granny Smith apples, cubed ¼ cup walnuts, finely chopped Topping: 1/3 cup water ¼ cup sugar 2 tbsp maple syrup 2 tbsp vegan margarine Preheat oven to 375 degrees. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, and cloves. Stir in the " milk " , vanilla, apples, and walnuts until well mixed. Spread into an 8x8-inch baking dish. Set aside. In a small saucepan, bring the water, sugar, maple syrup, and margarine to a boil. Reduce heat once margarine has melted.
