Guest guest
Rachel, Your story reminded me of something that happened to my step mother. She was transporting a wedding cake that she had made when she had to stop quickly and you guessed it the cake fell and crumbled. Luckily she always kept cakes frozen just in case and she returned home, decorated another cake and made it to the reception on time. Last month we attended my son's beautiful wedding in another state. A family member had made the beautiful bride's cake which was perfect and the nicest groom's cake I had ever seen..Amazing with it's chocolate and strawberries. Well one very precious little boy about 5 yrs. old found the groom's cake way too tempting and proceeded to pick off the strawberries and eat them. I caught him just in time, no one else noticed and I turned the cake around so the bare spots were on the backside. He looked so darn cute with frosting on his little face. I just explained that we would cut it later and he could have a big piece. These are the things memories are made of.
