This I have done on a barbeque as well

Normally I wait until the coals are medium, and place the mushrooms on the

grid. After a few minutes I put some kindling under, just to get some flames

going and put a piece of aluminium foil over to reflect the heat back down to

make sure that the top is nicely baked. Or you can just use the aluminium foil

from the beginning to reflect the heat. Another method is to use flames but keep

moving the mushrooms around as you don't want them to burn

Stuffed mushroom

Serves 1

Ingredients

1 large flat mushroom

¼ mushroom, finely chopped

85g/3oz white breadcrumbs

2 cloves garlic, finely chopped

50g/1¾oz grated Edam cheese

handful flatleaf parsley

1 tbsp olive oil

salt and freshly ground black pepper

Method

1. Mix the ¼ mushroom, breadcrumbs, garlic, Edam, parsley and oil together and

season with salt and pepper.

2. Fill the whole mushroom with this stuffing and bake in the oven for ten

minutes.

3. Serve.

Would you use a fairly hot oven to bake the mushroom? Say, 400 degrees?
