INGREDIENTS: 1/3 cup whole wheat flour 1 cup water 1 cup whole wheat flour 2 baking chocolate bars 2/3 cup cocoa 1/2 cup butter 1/2 cup cane sugar (original recipe called 1 cup) 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder 1/4 cup pure maple syrup 1/3 cup chocolate chips 1/3 cup chocolate chunks 1/2 cup walnuts; chopped 1 brown egg; slightly beaten METHODS: Mix 1/3 cup whole wheat flour with 1 cup of water. Stir with a whisk constantly on medium/high heat until it becomes thick then cool completely... Melt chocolate bars, add in cool mixture. Add 1/2 cup butter to a medium bowl, then add 2/3 cup cocoa and stir until smooth... cool... Beat 1/2 cup cane sugar and 1/4 cup pure maple syrup into the cooled flour mixture, then add cocoa mixture... Mix together 1 cup whole wheat flour and 1 1/2 teaspoon baking powder, 1 egg and add to above ingredients... Add 1/3 cup chocolate chips, 1/3 cup chocolate chunks, 1/2 cup nuts and mix well... Even batter in an oiled 9 " x 13 " baking pan at 350 ° for 25 minutes... Cut brownies in squares while still warm; cool brownies completely in pan and enjoy ... Make 24 brownies.
