Guest guest
Instead of buying the flavored green tea, make your own. It is so easy and you can make a gallon for the price of one small bottle. I place 6-8 green tea bags in a glass gallon jug and put it out in the hot sun for several hours. When my sun tea is ready I cool it thouroughly in the fridge . Fill a tall glass with ice cubes and fill half full with green tea mixture. Fill the rest of the glass with your favorite juice. My favorite is Organic Apple that I recently got on sale for less than $5 per gallon. Stir and drink with a straw. Because the tea will not stain your teeth if you use a straw. I also like Green Tea Lemonade. Put 2 tablespoons of organic cane sugar and the juice of one lemon in the bottom of a tall glass. Stir until the sugar disolves. Add ice and fill the glass with green tea . Again don't forget to use straws as the lemon can damage the enamal on your teeth and the tea will stain them. Remember that green tea has caffein and if you drink a lot of it as most of us do in the summer it can make some people a bit edgy. We should be very careful giving children any caffeinated drink. It is easy to become dehydrated in the hot months by drinking only caffeinated drinks as I am told they deplete the body of moisture.
