I thought they were more like milk shakes than anything and they used milk or yogurt or some kind of dairy.. Are they in place of a meal or what?? If not it sound like an awful lot of calories for me.. Well, that's my breakfast every day so, yes, for me it's a meal. It's really a quick way to get all your fruits and veggies into your diet. I just can't see myself eating the recommended five to nine fruits and veggies every day, but this makes it easy. They really are sooooo good and tomorrow I will buy me some Kale. I Googled Kale Smoothie and most recipes I found say the quantity should be one or two leaves. Supposedly that amount won't change the taste all that much. I'll get back to you on that...LOL This is how I do it...you can change the fruit but I find that a frozen banana (for me) is a must. Make sure they're ripe before freezing. Then just add whatever fruit you like. 1 1/4 cups vanilla Silk 1 frozen banana sliced 1/2 cup sliced strawberries 1 nectarine unpeeled and sliced 2 tablespoons ground flax 2 tablespoons wheat germ Splash of pure vanilla extract Sweetener of choice to taste Blend until smooth.
