Judy - Sharon Zakhour Tuesday, June 26, 2007 3:15 PM Re: Eat to Live 6 wk beginner plan Yowza, so impressive, Denise! Good for them! I started the program in January and have lost 40 lbs. I had lost weight in the preceding year, just by joining this group and cooking more and using more whole grains. That was a nice surprise! So my overall weight loss has been 77 lbs. But even better, my type 2 diabetes is reversing itself, without meds. My cholesterol has come down. My blood pressure has come down. My acid reflux is gone. My rosacea is virtually gone. My depression is gone (so far as I can tell). My various symptoms of diabetes are all improved. Now I'm working on my thyroid levels, which haven't improved by the eating/walking. It's a rather extreme way of eating, but I needed an extreme solution. So yum yum, bring on the kale smoothies. :-) (I calculated the iron content in my vegan smoothie this morning, and it was at least 10mg of iron!) I so wish I had found this way of eating when my kids were little!!! Sharon (P.S. Did your sister in law actually lose 140 pounds in 6 months?!?!) These kids started on this lifestyle right at birth so it is very easy for them. These kids NEVER have eaten any processed foods or surgery foods. Everything is natural that goes in all there bodies. My sister n law started the diet back in January and has lost 140 pounds (down from (400). >
