Guest guest
I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia about 7 years ago. Very few doctors are competent to diagnose it--only 2 or 3 in our county of 130,000 people. Massage therapists sometimes can diagnose it. They find certain points on the body and put a certain level of pressure on them--everyone has some that cause pain, but those of us with fibromyalgia have many. Diet can help fibromyalgia as it can all immune disorders, but I had the best luck treating it with acupucture, meditation, massage, and certain herbal supplements. I am doing very well, but many people end up disabled by it. There are web sites devoted to it. Interestingly, studies show that those who have it often have a history of abuse either as a child or an adult. It can be triggered by an accident. Mine was triggered by weight lifting in a gym.
