I hate it when people say stuff like that! It's like they are just goading us into an argument! (She follows Weston Price's eating recommendations and is very into organic foods, raw milk, etc etc.) Anyway, when she was asking me about being vegan, I expected her to be a bit defensive, since she is so careful about how she eats and feeds her family. She knew I became vegan for health reasons (though I became vegetarian 30 years ago for ethical reasons) and she wanted to know why I felt the need to be vegan. Anyway, I shouldn't have worried because she was very diplomatic. In fact, she said that if you read in the bible/torah it says that God told us to take care of the animals.
